Dear All,
I am pleased to say that Middlesex won their SF encounter against Surrey 11-5 and as a result make it to a 3rd successive final the first time they have done so since the captaincy of R, Jennings in 1987. Result here: A more comprehensive match report will be on the usual sites.
The final result is surprising as par score based on team averages was 8-8. That Surrey were tonked is great result as it means Middlesex have now beaten their greatest rivals in three of the last four encounters; we will be looking to make it a 4/5 when the two meet in the opening match of the 2013-14 SCCU cycle, more of that in due course.
We now go on to meet Yorkshire in the Final.
You should all have the date and details of the Final in your diary but just to remind:
Match - ECF Final
Date - 12th July 2014
Venue - The Trident Centre, Warwick CV34 6SW
Start time usually 1pm will confirm once Controller advises about arrangements for Finals Day
Time Control - 40moves in 2h + 30minutes QPF
