We are pleased to announce that alongside the usual FIDE rated Hampstead event we are also holding an evening rapidplay on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August. Usual venue:
Henderson Court Day Centre, 102 Fitzjohn's Ave, London, Greater London NW3 6NS.
This means that you can play two standard games of FIDE rated chess followed by three rated games of rapidplay chess!
There are two rapidplay sections, OPEN and UNDER 1900 (ECF 160)
Prizes: minimum £100 1st, £50 2nd in each section. PLUS the highest eligible player in the OPEN will win the Middlesex County Chess Association Individual Summer Tournament Championship for 2013.
There are six rounds over the two evenings - you can take up to two byes over rounds 1-4.
Three rounds 7.30pm-10.00pm Saturday 24th August
and another three 7.30pm-10.00pm on Sunday 25th August.
20 minutes per player per game.
All games are FIDE rated and ECF graded for their respective rapidplay lists.
Entry Fee is £20.00, £18.00 for juniors and members of Hendon Chess Club.
